For your first assignment of the semester, you will select one queer young adult book that we will not otherwise be discussing in class.

Once you have selected your book, read up on it. (You do not need to read the book, but you should be familiar with the general plot)

By Class 3, post on the blog a description of the book that you have selected, what makes the book queer, some information about the author, and why you think the book is important (to students, to young adults, to queer studies, to queer visibility, etc)

Be sure to categorize your post under book reviews and and any relevant tags.

Be prepared to discuss your post in class.

Must be 400-500 words.
